Description

Name-Kaiohme

Species-Wolf, but more specifically a Vakirra, an animal with excess energy that manifests itself in special ways.

History-She tries to keep it hidden from everyone, but what she will tell is shes been in a human testing facility for the past year and a half, and she’s slightly traumatised.

Personality-Calm and collected, Kaiohme is a soothing influence. She is a born leader, and can keep a cool in head in some highly challenging situations. She is confident in her own ability, but sometimes she can frighten herself. She can seem too serious, though deep down she loves playing around as much as anyone. She is very kind and empathetic, and always offers a helping hand. She knows her power but she is afraid of it, and refuses to tell anyone. She often manages to anchor people in the real world, and as kind as she is, she knows the true, horrifying facts of the current state of the Vakirra. Both selfless and selfish, she wants to help others but she also thinks highly enough of herself to occasionally have other motives.

I really like this character, shes really interesting and beautiful to draw!

I hope you dont mind me giving this a short critique.

I was looking through your gallery and I am mostly impressed by waht I've seen. You have a good idea of value shading, and expressions. However, your anatomy ticks me a bit. While this looks good from first glance, anyone who has looked at a real wolf skeleton will be irked by this. Granted my anatomy isn't perfect, but I put a lot of effort into making it as correct as yet possible. I will start here with a quick redline. [link] That includes most of what I corrected.

I see you already have figured out the knees line up horizontally with the elbows, that is good. However, your ankles are much to high up and your legs and your thighs are too thick. That's the main thing that bothered me. Also the head is a bit small, muzzle too short, ears too large. Your tail I must say absolutely irked me, it looked like a ratty mess that was too long. Try gathering the fur together to make a plusher, rounder look like real wolves' tails are. Paws overall were too small, and elbows much too thick.

I also want to call upon a recurring theme I have seen in your art of quick, messy lineart. That may be your choice, but it would look a lot more professional if you tried clear, single stroke lineart. Be sure to clean up your lines after you are done inking, get rid of extra blemishes and whats left over from erasers or overlapping lines. Use the pressure sensitivity settings your tablet should have to your advantage to have lines taper out at the end. It has a much more pleasing affect than what is here. Also, your coloring, specifically in other pictures is often sloppily scribbled on. Time and precision makes a world of difference. Also be sure to cut out the extra color left over from when you cut the color around the lines. There still bits left in the fur etc. That can easily be removed with an eraser.

Other than that, nice work. I remember you as being the one who originally reffed some off-white pages and other peoples' art, but now I see you really developing your own style, and I'm glad to see that. Keep up the good work, I hope this helps you!
